Katriina Kyllönen, FMI, Finland
Katriina Kyllönen is a Senior Research Scientist in the Air Quality group at the Finnish Meteorological Institute. She acts as the Quality Manager of the National Reference Laboratory on air quality, as well as for the air quality chemical laboratory and field operations. She is the Finnish representative in AQUILA. Her work is concentrated on air quality monitoring, field and laboratory measurements, quality management, and research. She finished her PhD of atmospheric heavy metals with a special focus on mercury in 2020, and she is in charge of the mercury measurements in ambient air and deposition in Finland since 2006. She has participated in numerous scientific, commercial, and capacity building projects relating to air quality in Finland and internationally, e.g. in Azerbaijan, Chile, Croatia, Iran, Latvia, North Macedonia, South Africa, and Ukraine.
